The enthusiastic volunteers at Altadena CERT (Community Emergency Response Team) are calling a first meeting for members of Zone 4 this Sunday, July 8, from 4-5 PM at Loma Alta Park.
According to an email from Holly Rundberg, "Altadena is in the process of establishing a comprehensive disaster plan for the whole community. Altadena has been divided up into 11 zones and a CERT Management Team is in the process of being created for each of the 11 zones."
The meeting for members of Zone 4 will be to familiarize residens of what their plans are for disaster preparation, and begin an email list to communicate. Similar meetings for members of other zones are planned.
Zone 4 consists of homes north of Loma Alta Drive from North Fair Oaks to Lake Avenue, and cul-de-sacs of Parkman St. and Alta Pine Drive.
Zone 4's management team consists: Holly Rundberg, Sue Dekaney, Bill Westphal, Dick Smoak and Greg Middleton.
