Mallcraft of Altadena was one of the losing bidders to build Alga Norte Community Park in Carlsbad, reports the San Diego Union-Tribune. The winning bidder came about $10 million below Mallcraft's $39 million bid. Since Carlsbad city engineers estimated that it would take about $39 million to build it, it'll be interesting to see how this shakes out.
