PSN breaks the news today that Altadena Town Council chairman George Lewis was arrested Dec. 15 on suspicion of felony spousal abuse, allegedly following an alcohol-fueled run-in with an old girlfriend. The nut quote, from fellow councilman Steve Lamb, re: Lewis and his ex:
"I've seen them get drunk together many times," Lamb said. "I've seen her beat the hell out of him. I've never seen him beat the hell out of her."
PSN says that Lewis intends to remain on the council. Altadena sheriffs, citing potential conflicts, is passing the investigation over to another unit. The whole sordid tale is here.
