Various community and public safety groups (including LA County Fire Dept., which services Altadena) will hold a Community Emergency Expo on Sat., April 12, at Verdugo Hills Hospital, 1812 Verdugo Blvd., Glendale, from 10 AM-3 PM.
Visit with Smokey Bear and Sparky the firedog, shop for emergency supplies, get fire extinguisher training for kids and adults, see rescue dogs and the Jaws of Life demonstrated, etc. (There's also a bounce house, but don't worry -- paramedics will be available!)
