Loma Alta Park staff is presenting a "Start Studded Event," a black tie affair at the park's new gymnasium, on Sat., April 26, 6:30 PM to midnight. The evening features entertainment, a live band, and catering by M&M's Soul Food. Tickets are $25, and proceeds will go toward Loma Alta Park programs. Loma Alta Park will also have a Spring Vacation Camp, March 31-April 11, 7:30 AM-6 PM. Arts and crafts, cooking, sports, field trips, and working with computers are part of the program. Cost is $45 per week for children ages 6-12. For more information: 626-398-5451.
Farnsworth Park is holding an after school program featuring homework assistance, free snacks, golf, tennis, basketball, soccer, arts & crafts, field trips, and much more. Times are 12:30-6 on Monday and 2:30-6 Tues.-Fri. Cost is $15 a week, or $50/month. For more information: 626-798-6335.
