Altadena Sheriff Capt. Roosevelt Blow sent us these pictures from the United Peace Officers Against Crime Summer Camp, held Aug. 18-24 at the Alpine Meadows Camp Facility in Angelus Oaks. The camp staff consists of volunteers from law enforcement, fire fighters, and various community groups.
Over 300 kids participated this year, with the local sheriff's station sponsoring nine campers. Among many other activities, the campers participated in canoeing, hiking, baseball, swimming, tug-o-war, art & crafts, basketball, and learned computer skills.
