Greetings all,
A quick report on our Altadena Area Food Co-op Steering Committee presentation [Wednesday] ... We had a standing room only crowd! The slide presentation covered what co-ops are, a little of their history and what benefits we'd gain with one. We got into the details of the three closest food co-ops and what it will take to establish one in our area.
Our goals were to inform the listeners and bring a few more into our group. We seem to have accomplished both.
Thanks to everyone that came! It was great to meet so many like-minded neighbors and to hear your suggestions. Your input has already got us thinking of new ways to further our effort. Hopefully we'll hear more from you at future meetings.
We meet every Friday for working meetings and every first Wednesday for a meeting that's more of a social. All are held at The Coffee Gallery at 7:30pm.
