Every year, the Altadena Sheriff's Station looks to the community to help them provide food and toys to families they have identified as needing special help this holiday season. (It's also good for them to have a supply of stuffed animals and other toys on hand to help reassure and comfort children who end up getting involved in assistance calls).
The annual food and toy drive is now underway, and the deputies are looking for pantry staples and holiday food items as well as toys to help the people who need it. Please call Dep. Sam Estrada, 626-798-1131 for more information, and Altadenablog will post the drop-off locations once they've become available.
