Pasadena Now files a story about a breakdown in communications between DS Ventures, which is developing the old St. Luke's hospital property, and the people in the neighborhood. DS Ventures wants to develop medical office space and senior assisted living units on the Pasadena property, but the neighbors have manifold objections to the plan as presented. In addition, there are those who would like an urgent care in the facility -- otherwise, the closest urgent care to Altadena and Northeast Pas is Huntington Memorial, some five miles away.
(We note with interest that the byline on the story is Andre Coleman, one of PWeekly's stalwarts and an Altadenablog reader. Apparently they couldn't get anybody from Mumbai to cover this.)
