Artists: call for submissions for Eagle Rock installations

The Outpost for Contemporary Art in Los Angeles has put out a call for submissions to a public installation project this summer:

We are interested in hearing from artists who would like to be considered for Intersection 2009; a multi-sited public installation project that brings artistic interventions into the heart of Eagle Rock's business community at the intersection of Eagle Rock and Colorado Boulevard in Northeast Los Angeles.

Intersection 2009 Facts:

• Intersection 2009 is produced by Center for the Arts, Eagle Rock and organized by Outpost for Contemporary Art in collaboration with Los Angeles' Department of Cultural Affairs
• 10 artists will be selected and will each receive an honorarium of $225
• Projects will open on Saturday, June 6, 2009 with a reception and walking tour
• Projects will be focused at the intersection of Eagle Rock and Colorado Blvd.

Preference will be given to artists who live and/or work in Northeast Los Angeles. The deadline to submit a letter of interest is April 24 To find out more about the project and how to submit a letter of interest, please visit here.
