A couple of things we haven't had time to get to until now, from Tuesday's town council meeting:
Sheriff Capt. Roosevelt Blow told the council there was a shooting on Fair Oaks and Calaveras last week, Fri., March 13. According to Blow, a black Cadillac Escalade pulled up to a group on the street, words were exchanged, and shots fired from the vehicle. Everyone fled, nobody's talking, nobody reported injury, and a bullet hole was found in a parked car. Deputies suspect it was gang-related.
Also on Friday, there was an armed robbery at Rite Aid across from the sheriff's station. A suspect took liquor and tobacco, said he wouldn't pay, and showed the clerk an outline of a gun tucked in his waistband. The suspect left the store, nobody was hurt, and detectives are looking into it.
