From our friends at the Hometown Pasadena blog, a profile of Suzanne McNulty-- she was our oldest daughter's kindergarten teacher back in the day (when we were living in South Pasadena), and teaches at Marengo School there. She recently swept first, second, AND third places at the Professional Photographer's of California 2009 Expo.

There are just too many beautiful places here! It’s all about the
light. There’s a walk I take with my dogs ending on Mendocino east of
Allen, at twilight. The curve of the palm tree-lined street… the
orange-red light hitting the mountains right there, so close — it’s got
this quintessential old California craftsman feel that I’d love to
figure out how to capture someday.
Since that's in our neck of the woods (and she's right about the light), we thought it was worth mentioning that she's probably a local! Congrats, Suzanne!
