Dr. Irma Strantz of Altadena, Advocacy/Action Director, League of Women Voters, Pasadena, will receive the Council of Women's Clubs' Volunteer Service Award in April.
Dr. Strantz has also been active in Emergency Care Now, a group which is trying to put an emergency/urgent care facility on the old St. Luke's hospital property, and is organizing a "Single Payer Health Care" conference in Pasadena in May (pdf flyer here).
