Received this from a reader about a Pasadena event on Tues. night:
The families and friends of victims of violent crime are affected
for the rest of their lives. In the past, the feelings of depression
and loneliness have been kept private and seen by the public as
shameful or unreasonable. The court system has often ignored the
victims' families and friends, including never notifying them of trials
for their loved ones' murderers. There are thousands of families in
California that have been affected by the violent loss of a loved one.
If you have been affected or just want to show support, please attend
an event in commemoration of Victims' Rights Week. There are many, all
over the state.Thanks!!
