We're loving the crimereports.com website, which gives us at least general information about some local crimes that don't make the crime log. We've just discovered another feature of it: an analysis of local crime (this is one we made for the month of April, 2009) to give a sense of what is really plaguing our community.
In terms of raw numbers, this represents 21 assaults, 14 burglaries, 21 thefts, and 10 vehicle burglaries recorded for April. A look at the map shows that assaults trend to the west side, and burglaries and thefts trend to the east side of town.
