The American Cancer Society's first Altadena "Relay for Life" will be held at Farnsworth Park on June 6-7, and the organizers have kicked it up a notch in anticipation of the big event. Sarah Eagle of the American Cancer Society sends us this update:
Our banner is going up this week across Lake Ave to spread the word about Relay For Life to the Altadena community!
We are having a paint in tonight (Tuesday) at Camp Mariposa - for girl scouts and their families and friends to join us as we decorate our luminaria in memory or in honor of someone battling cancer.
This Saturday all are invited to join us for our "Mini Relay" at Farnsworth Park between 9:30am-11am - come and learn about our Relay For Life event and how you can participate!
We have 12 teams registered so far but our goal is 20 teams....anyone from the community can join us and form a team!
Contact either Sarah Eagle 626 372 9456 or Paula Walker event chair 626 825 5550
