The Altadena Historical Society hosted a tour of Mountain View Mausoleum today, and we were there with video (Our Flip video looks fine onscreen, but turns into gunk after we send it to YouTube -- don't know why!)

We're putting this up now, but we have great Bill Westphal pictures after the jump that you absolutely must see.
Bill Westphal, who also had a busy day today, sent us these gorgeous shots of the inside of the mausoleum:
A shot from the floor of the main gallery.
The view from the mezzanine level, where you can really see the arched ceiling.
This classical bust is an example of many artwork reproductions throughout the mausoleum.
Amazingly intricate detail and filigree abound.
The Nativity, part of the saga of Christianity which is the theme of the main gallery's artwork.
The Chapel of Radiance, and count all the reflections of the rose.
Bill snuck this one, of us trying out Gregg Schneeman's psaltry. True confession: we first met Gregg and his double-bowed psaltry when we were playing at a hootenanny together in a Sierra Madre bookstore. What's it to you?
