Artrepreneur Ben McGinty tells us that there's lots happening in and around the vicinity of his Gallery at the End of the World, 2475 N. Lake Ave.
First, it's the Gallery's quarterly Art Bender, with an artist reception Thursday 6-9 PM, First Friday Art Club 7 PM-1 PM ($5 cover), a Saturday potluck barbecue, and Sunday brunch.
The Crane Lake Serenaders will perform on Thursday, and Friday features Wreck n Sow and Alamase Arabesque with drummer Rick Sarabia and DJ Radiant Child. The Gallery will be open 12-6 PM each day.
Artists showing include featured artist Kathi Oshima, and include: Cathy Tharp, Lauren R. Tharp, Bright, Joe Feinblatt, Nancy Armitage, Richard Davies, Karen Sachs, Evans NJoroge, Todd Bank, Christian Velasquez, Rick Strieck, Christy Roberts, Matt Carter, Adrianne Walker, Jeannie Pool, Amber Bilow, Alex Scheafer, Joseph Stauffer, Peter Adamyan, Michael Gibson, Deborah Blanco, David Goldberg, Jeni Carle, Lisa george, Jeffrey R. And if that's not enough: The Sundowners will perform at the Rancho Bar on Sat. evening, and this weekend inaugurates the first Family Movie Night at Galloway Alley, behind Altadena Hardware (film to be announced, starts at 9 PM Sat.).
