Kids and teens -- join the Altadena Main Library and Bob Lucas Branch for a summer full of great programs, awesome books and cool prizes -- and all absolutely free!
The summer reading program begins June 26 and runs through Aug. 4. Children from birth through age 12 of all reading abilities are invited to join the 2009 Be Creative @ Your Library Summer Reading Program. Teens ages 13 to 17 may join the Teen Summer Reading Program.
Children keep track of the titles they read and come to the library to collect prizes. A different prize will be awarded each week.

Be Creative @ Your Library Donut Drop-in Registration
Kick off the "Be Creative @ Your Library" Summer Reading Program with a Donut Drop-in Registration. Stop by the library to register and enjoy donuts and raffles, and get all the information you need to take part in this program.

Animals have jobs and houses too! Explore the different habitats animals live in and the adaptations they need to help them live there. The audience will also learn about what animals do to help their habitat grow and flourish. This program includes live animals!

The Swazzle team is back with another dynamic puppet show. A greedy, magical sea monster has sucked the color from the ocean.
