- First Friday Art Club opening at McGinty's, 7 PM-1 AM, $5 cover
Sat. June 6
- American Cancer Society kicks off its first Relay For Life in Altadena at Farnsworth Park, starting at 9 AM and going on for 24 hours.
- Central Altadena Little League will have its closing ceremonies at Farnsworth Park Ampitheater, 10 AM.

- Aveson Charter School's June Jubilee, 10 AM-4 PM.
- Newtown holds " On the trail of A Half Mile of Al Fresco Installations, sculptures and performances," at Hahamonga Watershed Park, 10-7 Sat., and 11-7 Sun.
- Altadena Historical Society holds a tour of Mountain View Mausoleum and plein air art show, 11 AM-4 PM
- The Art Bender Weekend continues at McGinty's with potluck barbecue and entertainment, noon - 6 PM. Bring a dish to share.
- The Hookah Lounge opens at Ace's Smoke Shop with an art show, 2507 N. Lake.
- Family Movie night at Galloway Alley (behind Altadena Hardware), starts 9 PM, movie TBA.

UPDATE #1 6/4 Noon: Michele Zack updates us that the Bank of America branch at Lincoln Crossing will have its ribbon cutting and grand opening on Saturday as well. The next sound you hear will be our head exploding.
