Some things just don't make sense at all. We found mention of A-blog on some Quebec website called "hiking pantshistorical" (perhaps Karin Bugge could enlighten us on historical hiking pants). Anyway, they clipped the story below, apparently ran it through a French translator, then ran it back into English again. The results are quite comical. Here's one example:
