The Pasadena Master Chorale, under the direction of Artistic Director/Conductor Jeffrey Bernstein, will kick off its first full season on September 19 and 20 with a program of international folks songs entitled Songs of the World. The concert features cherished American classics, well-known European tunes, some contemporary surprises and more colorful fare from cultures around the globe – all in sumptuous choral arrangements for unaccompanied (a cappella) voices.
Songs of the World will be performed by a select 36-voice summer choir drawn from the Master Chorale’s broader membership in two performances in two extraordinary acoustical settings:
