Lots of good energy and high spirits filled the Loma Alta Park gym as students attended Black College Night Thursday. The night was an opportunity for students to meet students and alums of Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs).
Penny Daniels of the Loma Alta Park staff, who helped organize the event, received a certificate from the county board of supervisors.
Among the attractions were demonstrations of "steppin," an HBCU tradition.
