Altadena sheriff's deputies arrested two suspects today as part of an ongoing burglary investigation.
Arrested were Jabari Vanardo, 20, and Lonell Vanardo, 55, for residential burglary and firearm possession.

The two suspects were arrested by Altadena Station Detectives, in the early morning hours, during a burglary surveillance operation.Yesterday, October 14, 2009, at about 4:45 PM, a female resident came home and interrupted a male burglarizing her home in the 1300 block Eastlyn Place. The suspect fled, and Altadena Station personnel immediately responded. Property and evidence were recovered, and information developed that lead to the identity of Suspect Jabari Vanardo.
Throughout the evening hours, Altadena Station Detectives conducted a surveillance operation, which resulted in his arrest.Also arrested, was Suspect Lonell Vanardo, father of Suspect Jabari Vanardo. The elder Vanardo has a prior burglary conviction, and had a firearm in his possession at the time of his arrest.
Detectives will evaluate investigative leads to determine whether or not these suspects are related to any of the recent Altadena area burglaries that have been reported and received extensive media and community attention.
