Fresh off their successful pairing of George McGovern and John Dean, the Altadena Library is keeping up the pressure with two more exciting programs in the coming week:
- Sat., Nov. 7: An Afternoon with Robert Wagner Nov. 7—LOCATION CHANGED to SENIOR CENTER
Join the movie star, teen heartthrob, stylish rogue, and romantic leading man of both film and television, Robert Wagner, for a discussion and signing of his best selling autobiography, Pieces of My Heart, which candidly chronicles his friendships with the old guard of Hollywood, romances with celebrated beauties, the death of his wife Natalie Wood, and his happy ending with present wife Jill St. John. This event, sponsored by the Friends of the Altadena Library, will take place on Saturday, Nov. 7 at 2 PM at the Senior Center. Doors open at 1:30. - Wed., Nov. 11: Veteran's Day Program with Jonna Doolittle Hoppes, 7 PM @ the Library
The Altadena Library is pleased to announce a presentation by Jonna Doolittle Hoppes, granddaughter of Jimmy Doolittle and author of Calculated Risk, a biography of the famed aviator, who will be discussing and signing her new book, Just Doing My Job: Stories of Service from World War II. Joining Miss Doolittle will be a panel of heroes from World War II with many stirring and inspiring stories to tell.
The Robert Wagner program will be at the Altadena Senior Center, 5:30 E. Mariposa (next door to the library), and the Veteran's Day program will be at the main library, 600 E. Mariposa. For more information, call 626-798-0833.
