For those of us who lived through the 1970's, two of the key players were Sen. George McGovern and White House Counsel John Dean. The Altadena Senior Center played host to living history last night, as McGovern and Dean spoke to a crowd of over 200 at the Altadena Senior Center.
Dean talked about his new edition of "Blind Ambition," with a lengthy new afterward about what he'd gone through since Watergate.
McGovern, who was not only U.S. Senator from South Dakota and the 1972 Democratic presidential candidate, is a Ph.D. historian who has just completed a short biography of Abraham Lincoln.
After their talks, they answered audience questions and talked about ... well, politics ... and signed copies of their books.
The event was presented by Friends of the
Altadena Library.
