On Feb. 7, the annual Supper Bowl Sunday Food Collection Event for the Free Community Hot Meals will be held. Three supermarkets will host members and friends of the Altadena Fountain of Life Church of the Nazarene from 9 AM to Noon on Sun., February 7, 2010. They will collect food purchased from the stores from a special menu for its Friday night and Sunday morning community meals for people living in the northwest area of Pasadena and Altadena. The three stores are Vons at Orange Grove and Fair Oaks, Vons at California and Pasadena Ave. and Smart & Final at 401 N. Fair Oaks Blvd. at Maple St.
The Altadena Fountain of Life Church of the Nazarene is located 9 W. Mendocino at the corner of N. Fair Oaks. Their Kitchen Ministry has been helping to feed local residents for the past 15 years. Your participation at the supermarkets is most welcome and greatly appreciated.
