Good news dept.: Webster's Fine Stationers (Altadenablog sponsor) donated $500 of holiday receipts to Danny's Farm. Cathy Gott of Danny's Farm says it will go toward a new canvas cover for part of the farm, which offers programs for all kinds of children and employement for disabled adults. (Also check this space for something upcoming on Danny's planned move to lower Zorthian Ranch).
We want to bring your attention to a couple of local websites that we frequent. Local plein air painter Keni's blog is an interesting combination of his beautiful outdoor paintings (sometimes painted in not-so-nice places) and his witness for his faith.
And our compadre Karin Bugge, the Altadenahiker, has been on a roll lately with her wise and witty observations, and sometimes heart-tugging stories of real life as it's lived. If you don't read her occasionally, you're missing something! If you're an animal lover in need of a good cry, read Heartland and all the comments. Grab hankies first.
