An Altadena man was charged with four counts of burglary, one of stalking, and one count of sexual battery following his Feb. 3 arrest by Altadena sheriff's detectives.
Ralph Wyatt, 49, described as a black male, was arrested at his home on the 1000 block of E. Woodbury Rd. where "conclusive evidence of his involvement with the crimes was uncovered," sheriffs say.
Between Jan. 23 and 31 of this year, multiple burglaries were reported at two Altadena residences. Detectives say the suspect left "unique apology notes at each scene, which included sexual explicit references and indicated on at least one note, that he would return," according to a sheriff's press release. The victims were identified as two women, age 49 and 89.
A partial print was connected to "a registered sex offender, residing in Altadena," the release says, following which deputies obtained a search warrant for Wyatt's home.
Sheriff's say that, based on the circumstances of the crimes, there may be additional victims. Anyone with additional information should contact Sgt. Danny Robinson, Altadena Station Detective Bureau, 798-1131.
