Denis Walcott, president of the The Walcott Company public relations firm, tells us that he's working with Foothill Municipal Water District to increase public awareness about their long-term water supply and reliability program. (Foothill supplies water to Altadena's local water districts). Foothill has identified more than $60 million in projects to increase the ability to use local water supplies, reduce dependence on expensive imported water and make the overall water system more stable. As a portion of the funding for these projects may come from a parcel tax, Foothill wants to put the facts out to the public.
Details on Foothill's plans can be found at www.fmwd.com, and speakers are available for any group or organization that wants a presentation. Contact Walcott at 213-200-1563.
