PSN's Alfred Lee writes about the board of supervisors approving $1.3 million to be spent to improve the Altadena Sheriff's station. The money had been set aside as seed money for a new $30 million station, but that's not going to happen for a loooong time, so it was decided to put the money in now.
Of particular interest are new security fences, improvements in the public waiting area (including a restroom), and a 911 dispatch area. Presently 911 calls are routed through the Crescenta Valley sheriff's station.
