• Assemblyman Anthony Portantino has introduced a bill to shield teenagers seeking emergency medical attention for someone possibly suffering alcohol poisoning.  The bill comes in the wake of the death of South Pasadena High School Student Aydin Salek, 17, who fell unconscious last December at an Altadena house party.  PSN has the details.
• LA Weekly has an article, "99 Things to Eat in LA Before You Die," and one of them is Bulgarini's goat cheese gelato -- because, it says, it tastes like goat.  Don't know about that, but the gelato is worth dying for!
• Altadena resident Elyssa Tamzyn McElrath was named to the Dean's List for the fall 2009 semester at Georgetown College, a liberal arts college in Georgetown, KY. McElrath is the daughter of Timothy and Dorothy McElrath. Details are here.
