The Altadena Sheriff's Support Group is promising another lively & exciting concert season this summer, including several repeaters. SSG's Bob Klomburg tells us:
I know it's way to early to begin publicizing the 14th Annual Summer Concert Series but I wanted to give you a heads up. For the first time in 14 years I have all the acts booked now! This normally doesn't happen until late March or early April.I had nearly 40 applicants to fill just 9 concert dates. It was a tough choice as nearly all were within budget and very talented.
And the summer lineup is:
July 3: Elk's 99 Concert Band playing patriotic music for the July 4th Holiday.
July 10: The Downbeat Express will again put on a fantastic Big Band show.
July 17: Crown City Dixieland Band will give us an evening of foot tapping Dixieland Jazz
July 24: Melena and her phenomenal Latin Jazz Band will perform
July 31: Upstream will perform Caribbean music
August 7: Wreck N Sow Bluegrass, Country and Americana
August 14: Those Manning Boys and Friends will entertain with music and dance from the Public Houses of Ireland
August 28: The All American Flyers will entertain with Classic Rock 'n Roll
And for our Grand Finale...
September 11: Randy Caputo's Legends Show Band featuring tributes to: Gene Krupa, Buddy Rich, Louis Prima, Connie Francis and a special tribute to the Andrew Sisters. It will be a swinging good time!
