Per the Altadena Mountain Rescue page, a couple of inexperienced hikers were trapped in a steep ravine on Sunday afternoon, necessitating the sheriff's Air 5 bird swooping in. Donald Taylor, 46, and Yumiko Okuho, 38, were not lost or injured, but they couldn't get out of the ravine near Echo Mountain.
