Field reports from readers say that the Audobon Society information signs at the Cobb Estate (which have been unreadable for years due to graffiti) have been removed. Whether this is an organized effort or some guerilla action (not unknown on the Cobb Estate) has yet to be determined.
Pasadena Weekly has two Altadena stories this week: Andre Colemanlooks at the progress (or not) at the MonteCedro retirement home, and the news that the resident's new (and temporary) home in Alhambra is being sold to a group of physicians:
and Justin Chapmanupdates the progress of Altadena Schools on creating a new district. Chapman reports that the group will host two meetings, one Tuesday at Cafe Culture, 1359 Altadena Dr., and the other May 20 at the Coffee Gallery, 2029 N. Lake, both at 7 PM.
In other news, Amy's Patio Cafe is still open.
The San Gabriel Valley Tribune has a feature on the Renaissance Faire, being held at Santa Fe Dam over the weekends, and has a cute picture of some kids from St. Elizabeth's in medieval garb (we were once informed that medievalists don't wear clothes, they wear "garb.")
