Got an email from a reader who witnessed:
about 5 squad cars, two traffic control jeeps and a Deputy Dog on the south side of Woodbury two blocks east of Fair Oaks at 7:30 this morning. Deputies were dressed in tactical gear and appeared to be wrapping up the operation.
According to Altadena Sheriff Capt. Steven McLean, this was a parole sweep -- the deputies are checking on parolees to make sure that they're keeping their noses clean (and judging by the rollout, the deputies mean business).
