To celebrate the Altadenablog family's adoption of a rescue dog today (pictured, from the Pasadena Humane Society website: 3 yo German shepherd mix, name is still being debated -- Otto? Buzz? Buddy?), we're printing this letter forwarded from Judy McAdoo, a followup to this story we ran in January about two orphaned Dalamations:
Dear Judy,
Did I ever tell you that through your dog contacts we got the 'girls' adopted? I can't remember if I thanked you since so much has been going on with my dad so THANK YOU!Both dogs were adopted together through the Angels for Animals Network and I'm not sure how it worked but I got a call from a guy in Dallas, TX, who had someone to adopt them in Yosemite, CA. She drove down and picked them both up and drove back all in one day. She has sent me a couple of photos and everything looks really happy. Thanks again. We were desperate that the girls go together and they did. God bless Angels for Animals. Love, Paula"From the Angels for Animals Network, from the new owner, Jackie Brown:I am taking them both. I am by Yosemite in the forest and have had older dals before. They will be loved forever and very happy here! They will have an instant dalmatian brother to show them the ropes on forest living (stay away from skunks!) I will make sure they know how many people were helping them all along the way! Special dogs for sure! Pick up day is scheduled for January 24th.
(BTW, any dog name suggestions are welcome!)
