Forest Service update on Cobb Estate work

Forest Service district ranger Michael McIntyre is sending periodic updates on the work that his agency and Outward Bound Adventures are doing on the Cobb Estate (Lake and Loma Alta).  Key information this week is that the Forest Service is working with the Audobon Society to remove Audobon's graffiti magnet signs so that they can be repaired off-site; they are just starting to analyze which of the now-closed areas can be opened; and, in the back-and-forth battle between Outward Bound and hikers as to which trails are closed for reforestation, some kindling has been moved back onto trails by persons unknown.
