Mary Lou Langedyke of the St. Vincent dePaul Society at St. Elizabeth's Church tells us they are sponsoring a "bundle Sunday" which is a great opportunity for our church members and the community to clean out those closets and donate usable items to a good cause.
The items collected are sold at the Saint Vincent dePaul thrift stores in downtown LA and Long Beach. All one has to do is drive through the parking lot of St. Elizabeth's at 1879 N. Lake Ave. on Sun., May 2, from 8:30 AM to 1PM with their donations, drop them off, get a receipt for your tax records and enjoy a beautiful day.
Usable clothing, shoes, household items, linens, books, small appliances are most welcome. The St. Vincent dePaul Society will also come to your home to pick up usable furniture and major appliances. Call 213-224-6280 to schedule a pick-up.
