The woes of the Washington Theater

Our fellow Best Blogger Larry Wilson's PSN piece today looks at the derelict Washington Theater building in Pasadena.  Why won't it revive?  Many reasons, but a major one is parking, they say -- altho' our own Michele Zack, who grew up in the neighborhood, points out that it never HAD parking and still functioned as a theater.  (Walking?  What a concept!)  The theater building, designed by Altadena architect Clarence Jay, is profiled here.
