Linda Lane White, the "Singing Realtor" (she should really be fighting crime or something with a moniker like that) sends us this note about a good deed tomorrow:
On Thursday, May 13, 2010, Keller Williams Realty will be participating in the 2nd Annual Red Day by giving back to their communities all across the United States and Canada. This year, Keller Williams Realty - Pasadena Market Center has decided to work in conjunction with Rebuilding Together Pasadena by assisting an Altadena resident in making her home a safer place to live.
Virginia Swanson of Altadena is 85 years old and is legally blind. She can see most shadows and can see print on the computer with giant magnifiers. She has recently had two episodes of “blanking out” where she doesn’t remember where she is or has just been and is being examined for possible strokes. Her son moved back home to care for her, but, the home needs to be made safer for Virginia.
Rebuilding Together Pasadena will be installing a better walk way for Virginia and the Keller Williams agents will be donating their time by clearing the path to make that happen. Keller Williams agents will work all day at Virginia’s house relocating plants, cleaning rain gutters, washing windows, clearing junk from the yard and, the biggest task of them all, clearing out the garage.Feel free to stop by and meet Virginia and her group of Keller Williams Realty volunteers at 644 E Poppyfields Drive in Altadena on May 13, 2010 from 8am to 5pm. Coffee has been generously donated by the Coffee Gallery in Altadena and lunch is provided by Landmark Trust Escrow. Information on Red Day can be found at http://www.kw.com/kw/redday.
