I'm one of those Altadena hikers, who for decades have hiked up Chaney Trail road toward Millard Canyon.
After the Station Fire, we were all locked out, with the Forestry Service locking the gate above Nuccio's.
I've been an Altadena street walker since then. (Ed. note: must ... stop ... laughing ...)
Soooooooooooooo, I walked up there today (Thurs.) at 4:30 PM, and here's the picture I took- "Nope! Gate still locked!"
Back to being an Altadena Street Walker.
(Most street walkers we've seen don't have the shoes for hiking Millard Canyon, but ya never know ...)
