Morning jolt

• USFS District Ranger Mike McIntyre has announced that the planned field meeting at the Cobb Estate has be rescheduled to June 5 at 8 AM.
• Supv. Michael Antonovich will host the annual "Trail Dusters" ride at Hahamongna Watershed Park tomorrow (Sun.) Check-in and a pancake breakfast will be at 7 AM, and the traditional 3-4 hour trail ride will begin at 9 AM followed by a barbecue lunch and live, western entertainment.  For information or registration, please call Vince Pedroza, Department of Parks and Recreation, at (909) 599-8411.  The cost for the trail ride and lunch is $30.00.  For horse rentals, please contact Lee Graham at Graham Bros., at (760) 245-7695.
• Aveson Charter School will hold a neighborhood "meet and greet" event at Loma Alta Park on Thurs., May 20, at 7 PM. Aveson is planning to move its upper grade Global Leadership Academy to the commercial building at 575 W. Altadena Dr.
• The Pittsburgh Books Examiner has an article on Student of Fortune, the research website founded by Altadenan Sean McCleese.  This site's highest-grossing tutor earned $110,000, which means we're in the wrong business!
• Altadena resident and psychologist Marie Davidson Rivers died April 29, and PSN's Brian Day has an article on her life and career.
