The Annual Los Angeles County Sheriff Department Peace Officers Memorial Run will culminate at Altadena Station today. This annual relay run, in honor of fallen peace officers, began on Friday at Sheriff's Headquarters Bureau in Monterey Park.
The relay run travels throughout Los Angeles County, reaching each sheriff's station, where the torch is passed on to runners from that station. The relay will culminate at Altadena Sheriff's Station, 780 E. Altadena Dr., at approximately 2 PM. Torch runners will be escorted down Altadena Drive from Fair Oaks Ave. by sheriff and fire department vehicles. The Altadena community is encouraged to come out along the route to cheer on runners and attend a memorial ceremony at the station.
