The awards celebrate those who contribute to the greater good of the workforce through the advancement of business and the proliferation of new jobs while also serving as role models for their community and coworkers.
Brigadier General Mary J. Kight, the first female general in the California National Guard and the Guard’s first woman leader, will give the keynote speech.

honorees are:
Empowerment Award: Rose West,
owner, Curves
Altadena. Former boardmember Secretary and boardmember of Altadena Chamber of Commerce, and was
part of
the diversity committee at the Pasadena Playhouse. Under her
leadership, Curves members contributed over 1250 pounds of food to the Altadena Food
Pantry.

Environment Award: Nancy Steele, President and Founder, Arroyos & Foothills Conservancy. AFC is a grassroots organization which acquires land and advocates for enhanced access and protection of our foothill areas.
