Donna Barnes-Roberts, who we swear must LIVE at the Coffee Gallery, 2029 N. Lake, sends us this upcoming notice of activities:
Maybe this is just too much happening at The Coffee Gallery. I didn't even know about the Shave Ice Truck until I read it on the blog, but here is some more "happenings" at The Coffee Gallery, in order of when they happen - sorta:
1. Now - Signups are open for two of my Watercolor Classes that happen at The Coffee Gallery. There are openings in the Monday evening and Saturday afternoon classes that begin May 22nd and May 24th. See my CLASS web link for details.
2. Friday Baby's Badass Burgers comes from 6:30-9:30PM. This retro-themed hamburger truck makes really old style fresh burgers. Not a Mickey D in sight. And the entertainment in The Coffee Gallery Backstage that night isRip Masters, Rockabilly and Roots music,Border Radio, "prairie swing" music, show starts at 8PM, plus an Open Mic for musicians will happen at The Coffee Gallery Frontstage.
3. Tuesday, The Long Run, a well known Eagles tribute band, will play at 8 PM and while they fill large arenas with a total rock experience, they are bringing to Altadena a more intimate acoustic-filled version of the Eagles. They are also being joined with Jack Tempchin, who penned the early Eagles hit, "Peaceful, Easy Feeling". Remember, this is only a 49 seat venue, so call for reservations ASAP at (626) 794-2424, just not before 10AM.
UPDATE: Donna says she misspoke Friday night's act, and that has been fixed.
