• Altadena Library's Annual Used Book sale: pre-sale to members of the Friends of the Library only, 3-7 PM at the Library, 600 E. Mariposa.
• Deadline for Town Council candidates: all paperwork and fees must be in by 5 PM at the Community Center, 730 E. Altadena Dr.

Sat. May 15

• JPL Open House: the annual event runs from 9 AM-5 PM at the Jet Propulsion Laboratory.
• Hazardous Waste & E-waste Roundup: at the county yard, 232 W. Mountain View Ave., 9 AM-3 PM
• Christmas Tree Lane Maintenance: cleaning and weeding around the trees on Santa Rosa.  Donuts, coffee, hot chocolate, bottled water, and lunch will be provided, 9 AM-12 PM.  Tools and gardening equipment will be provided, but feel free to bring your own.
• Library Used Book Sale continues, 10 AM-4 PM at the Main Library.
• Altadena Children's Choir presents the Jungle Book, 7 PM at Westminster Presbyterian Church, 1757 N. lake.  TIckets $10, students and seniors $5, under 12 are free.
• Odyssey Charter School Rummage sale/book sale/pancake breakfast, 8 AM-1 PM, 725 W. Altadena Dr.

Sun. May 16

• Museums of the Arroyo Day in Pasadena and environs, 11 AM-4 PM.
