The Co-operative Food Exchange of Altadena (CofeA) will hold its next crop swap on Sun., June 27 at 6 PM at the north end of Farnsworth Park on Mt. Curve.
CofeA is a group of urban farmers who share their produce with each other . The public is invited to the crop swap -- you don't have to be a member of CofeA to participate -- but you do have to have something to contribute to attend the swap (i.e. fruit, veggies, seedlings, flowers, herbs, seeds, or items made from neighborhood produce, such as jam).
Says CofeA's Gail Murphy: "We have a set schedule now - it is the fourth Sunday of the month and always at Farnsworth, but the time changes with the season. We make it at the end of the day so that all of your gardening and harvesting can be done with, and then you can come home to start dinner, or at least the week, with fresh produce!"
