Incumbents ruled in today's Altadena Town Council election, with one exception.
Newcomer Diane Marcussen knocked out incumbent Susan Goldman for the seat in Census Tract 4613 by a 53-33 vote. All other incumbents in three contested census tracts won by comfortable margins.
In 4601, incumbent Gino Sund beat challenger Dwight Equitz, 166-35. In 4602, Okorie Ezieme won a second term over challenger Brian Fuller, 113-49. In the heavily-contested CT 4610, Tecumseh Shackelford retained his seat over Brent Musson, 109-81.
Shackelford and Musson told Altadenablog in separate interviews Friday that they had been working hard to get votes in a tract that has historically been very light (last year, incumbent Gene Campbell only logged ten votes).
In the other four census tracts, incumbents ran unopposed.
