- "The Losers" is the Altadena Library's teen movie spectacular, rated PG-13. Admission is free. Starts 3:30 at the Library, 600 E. Mariposa.
- scissor/paper/rock acoustic concert series continues with An Uncommon Gentleman (original alternative music), starting at 7 :30 PM. Free. 1864 N. Allen, Pasadena.
Sat., June 24
- Meet Max the Bunny from the popular children's series "Max and Ruby" by Rosemary Wells at the Altadena Library, 11 AM-noon. Children will be treated to stories and a chance to visit with Max himself. Don't forget your cameras for this exciting costume character event!
- Mt. Wilson Observatory Assn. program will feature Dr. Edward L. (Ned) Wright, of the UCLA Physics & Astronomy Dept. His subject will be the Wide-field Infrared Survey Explorer (WISE) space astronomy mission, for which Dr. Wright is Principal Investigator. Refreshments are at 2:00pm, the program begins at 2:30pm at the Library, 600 E. Mariposa.
- The Afro-Cuban sound of Melena is this week's Sheriff Support Group concert at Farnsworth Park, starting at 7 PM. Admission is free.
- Bulgarini Gelato Summer Movie Night is "Cinema Paradiso." Dinner starts at 7:30, movie at 8:15. $13, reservations must be made by Friday, by email at catering@bulgarinigelato.com or by calling (626) 791-6174.

- St. Elizabeth's Saint Vincent De Paul Society will be holding a "Bundle Sunday" from 8 AM to 1:30 PM in the church parking lot at 1879 N. Lake Avenue. Bring your usable clothing, shoes, household items, books , etc. Your donations are tax deductible and support the SVDP thrift stores in Los Angeles, Long Beach and Oxnard. If you have furniture or large appliances that you might like to donate, please call 213-224-6280 for a special pick-up at your home.
